Badger is located just minutes away from Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks.

These are huge parks, with so many beautiful places to visit that you could go somewhere new every weekend for at least a year.  These photos show, starting from top left and going clockwise:   the Kings River near Road's End, Hume Lake, Zumwaldt Meadows, Grant's Grove and Redwood Forest.

The Fresno area is an up and coming part of California.  Though the air quality improvement in the valley is still a work in progress, central California is becoming a pioneer in the development and use of solar energy.  Two very large solar energy plants are in the works (one, just announced the week of July 7, will be the largest in the world if it comes to pass- 640 acres!).  For more information on solar energy in Fresno please click on the photo at the of solar energy panels at the right.

Fresno's central location makes it possible to drive to either Los Angeles or the Bay Area in about three hours.  If the bullet train goes through as proposed that will greatly increase ease of transportation to those areas.
